About Me & Low-Level Journey
Hey, my name is Omkar and I am a 3rd year Computer Science & Engineering student at MGM University's School of Engineering and Technology. I show deep interest in computer networking, low-level architecture, and system performance.
My journey started with mastering the fundamentals of data structures in C. I wanted to understand how computers work under the hood, so I delved deep into PC working—learning about microprocessors (such as the Intel 8086 architecture), CPU registers, and direct interactions with memory storage mediums like RAM.
To solidify my hardware and logic gate understanding, I built digital components from scratch and completed all levels of Nandgame, constructing a functional computer architecture from primitive logic gates up to CPU and RAM execution.

I am fascinated by how the internet works at the lowest layers. Currently, I am expanding my knowledge in computer networking (TCP/IP stack, HTTPS, WebSockets, DNS) with the ultimate goal of designing and building a custom **Web Browser** from scratch for my final year project.

Discord Bot & Web Management Dashboard
kharat.dev ↗Built and maintain a private Discord bot accompanied by a responsive web dashboard for managing server-specific configurations and preferences.
- Implemented Discord OAuth authentication so server administrators can securely log in and manage authorized servers.
- Developed a dynamic EJS dashboard powered by Express.js backend services to deliver a smooth multi-user management interface.
- Designed a custom WebSocket communication layer between the Discord bot and web server, incorporating key-based authentication for real-time synchronization.
- Optimized MongoDB Atlas usage by maintaining database operations on the bot side and sharing cached guild data with the website over WebSockets instead of spawning extra DB connections.
- Applied industrial standards and compression to save user bandwidth.
